At Harvey Baker we can provide
assistance ( on a fixed fee basis ) to a Personal Representative of an Estate in
applying for the Grant of
Representation.
This service relies on the Personal Representative/s
providing us with all the information needed in relation to the valuations of the deceased’s assets and their
liabilities.
Once these have been provided, this
will then enable us to prepare the relevant Grant of Representation paperwork,
which we will then submit to the Probate Registry and HMRC
Once the Grant of representation has
been received, we will then pass this onto the Personal Representatives to allow them to administer the estate and
then distribute the funds to the beneficiaries in accordance with the
deceased’s Will or intestacy rules ( if the deceased did not have a Will ).
We at Harvey Baker provide our clients
with peace of mind matters will be dealt with efficiently and sensitively, and
for a reasonable fee.
Our costs for obtaining a Grant of
Representation range from £1,000- £2,500 ( plus VAT ) depending on the complexity
involved i.e if it is a Taxable Estate, and the type of application required.
In addition to our fees, there is also a Probate Registry Application fee payable of £300.00
plus £1.50p per sealed copy.
If
any Personal Representative does not wish to be involved in acting as a
Personal Representative, then we can ( for an additional fee of £250 plus VAT
per notice needed ) prepare either a Renunciation notice or a Power reserved notice.
